عن أبي قتادة رضي الله عنه، قال : سءل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، عن صوم يوم عرفة؟ قال: ” يكفر السنة الماضية والباقية “” رواه مسلم.
Abu Qatadah : رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم، was asked about the observance of sawm (fasting) on the day of “Arafah”. He said, it is an expiration for the sins of the preceding year and the current year.” (Muslim)
As we enter the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, let’s increase our good deeds

— salah, dhikr, Qur’an, charity, fasting, and sincere repentance. These are among the most beloved days to Allah
For those intending to offer a sacrifice (Qurbani/Udhiyah), it is recommended not to cut the hair or nails from the beginning of Dhul Hijjah until the sacrifice is done. However, if someone does cut them, their Qurbani is still valid and the majority of scholars do not consider it sinful.
This short video explains things in a little more detail.
May Allah allow us to make the most of these blessed days
Ameen.
